Small Big Celebrations

Three SCBWI members are celebrating the launch of Litmus 2015 ~ the anthology of new writing from MA Critical and Creative Writing and MA Writing for Children students at the University of Winchester.

Thirty MA students from the University of Winchester celebrated new writing careers with the launch of their anthology, Litmus 2015, on Tuesday 12th May.

The students came together from the MA Writing for Children and MA Creative and Critical Writing programmes to compile, edit, design and produce the anthology, which acts as a vital showcase for their work.

After short speeches by programme leaders Judith Heneghan and Julian Stannard, the guests were entertained by quick-fire readings from the students (including SCBWI member Kim Howard, reading from her fabulous MG novel If Only ...)

And there was a wonderful cake that mimicked the hummingbird design of the cover, made and donated by Carol Thompson www.cakesbeyondbelief.co.uk.

Literary agents and editors attended the party, along with lecturers, family and friends.  Copies of Litmus 2015 may be purchased from the University bookshop, P&G Wells.

Great news and many hearty congratulations to SCBWI Members Kim Howard, Charlotte Comley, and Caroline Cleland, all on the Children's Fiction MA

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
