CELEBRATIONS November 2023
November has been a bleak month weather-wise but let's brighten things up by taking a look at what our members are celebrating.
Congratulations to Kimberlie Hamilton. Kimberlie's new book, A History Of The World According To Cats, published with Scholastic this Autumn. Illustrated by Jocelyn Kao, this is a brilliant non-fiction concept and we wish you every success with it, Kimberlie.
David Barker has been busy launching his debut children's book, Pax and the Missing Head. This dystopian middle-grade adventure is the first of a series and published with Tiny Tree in October.
David is also celebrating reaching the shortlist for the Wells Festival Book For Children competition. Congratulations on this double celebration, David.
Congratulations to Ruth Estevez! The final novel in her smuggling trilogy, Jiddy Vardy - Full Sail, is being released on the 2nd December. This YA/adult crossover is being launched at Robin Hood's Bay Victorian Weekend at the Smuggler's Bistro in the dock, 12 noon and 2pm, if you fancy popping along.
Ruth is also having a celebration with the North West Group on Saturday 16th December after the critique groups at MMU. Everyone is invited and details will be on the SCBWI Northwest Facebook page. We wish you every success, Ruth.

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
