Andy Shepherd Celebrates her Success

I thought I was a busy person, but Andy Shepherd beats me hands down. Andy is a mother of two young sons, juggles writing, going to college, doing a PGCE, teaching English and becoming a Campaigns Officer for Oxfam!

Andy met her agent Jo Williamson from the Antony Harwood Agency at the SCBWI agent party in 2013 and now has some more exciting news.

Andy writes:

I’m delighted to say that I’ve signed a 3 book deal with the wonderful Piccadilly Press. ‘The Boy Who Grew Dragons’ will be published Spring 2018 with 2 more books following soon after. Huge thanks to my agent Jo Williamson at the Antony Harwood Agency! And a big shout out to SCBWI who played such a big part in my success story.

I am absolutely thrilled to have signed a deal with Piccadilly Press. I can’t wait to start work with Matilda Johnson and the rest of the team, and am so happy that the books have found such a lovely home. I just hope it stays that way once the dragons settle in! Having read the books the team should all know what to do – so I’m sure they’ll be fine. Probably. Maybe.’

The Boy Who Grew Dragons’ series will be my first published work.
My main ambition now is to figure out how to move Cambridge closer to the sea.

  1. Well done, Andy. Fantastic news! Can you grow me a dragon too? All best wishes.

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
