This is a cover I finished recently for Highlights High Five magazine in the States. Happy, smiley animals for a bright, sunny morning. I painted it digitally in layers on top of the pencil rough I'd scanned in.

Here's to a good 2012 for us all.

    This is great Mike. I like that it actually looks a bit like Pennsylvania where the Highlights Foundation is - I've been there. Do you always paint digitally or was this something new?

    Hi Anne-Marie. I mostly paint digitally these days and my poor, neglected boxes of paints look at me reproachfully whenever I spot them in the cupboard!

    I'd love to know more about Highlights. They've been very good to me recently.

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
