I can't wait to read Swapna's new children's book! The title is hilarious and I'm excited by the thought of my copy arriving in the post. So with great delight, I want to say well done and congratulations to Swapna.

I'm delighted to reveal the cover of DAVE PIGEON: HOW TO DEAL WITH BAD CATS AND KEEP (MOST OF) YOUR FEATHERS, the first Dave Pigeon book for children aged 6+.
It's hard to believe that it has been about a year and a half since I was last on Words and Pictures celebrating winning the Greenhouse Funny Prize 2014 with Dave Pigeon and now Dave is almost on the shelves. The time has flown by! (Bird flying puns intended.)
When Faber & Faber suggested the brilliant Sheena Dempsey to illustrate Dave Pigeon, I couldn't believe my luck. Her illustrations are so wonderfully hilarious and she has an incredible storytelling talent that working with her on Dave Pigeon has been an absolute joy.
Dave Pigeon: How to Deal with Bad Cats and Keep (most of) Your Feathers is out April 7th.
