SCBWI-BI Biennial Exhibition: Pictures at Play

Leila Nabih is over the moon to have her work selected in The SCBWI Biennial Pictures at Play Exhibition, especially as it is the FIRST EXHIBITION EVER where her work has been SELECTED. She says she feel flattered and honoured to be amongst so many other talented children's book illustrators and that the journey to get there was long and arduous. Leila will be celebrating with her friends and family but most of all with her husband. "I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for his support and his encouragements."   To keep track of her achievements and progress, you can follow her on her websiteFacebook, TwitterInstagram

Louise Gardner's fabulous work is also being displayed at the exhibition. You can find her here:  website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

Also, writer illustrator, Layn Marlow is celebrating having TWO images selected for the SCBWI-BI Biennial Exhibition. They're from an unpublished story of hers called Something Went Ping, about two mice who become slightly overrun by technology.

Polly May Noakes is celebrating with a large glass of wine after being selected for the SCBWI Biennial Exhibition AND having a picture book she wrote and illustrated coming out in October. Her new book is called The Very Long Sleep and is published by Child’s Play International. You can find out more about what Polly is up to on her website

Rachel Lovatt is over the moon to be selected for  Pictures at Play. Since graduating from the Cambridge School of Art with an MA in children's book illustration, she's moved back up to the Peak District. Rachel was feeling isolated from the writers' and artists' community so joined SCBWI this year and it has been a lifeline for her and "exceeded all expectations."  Rachel's social media links are Instagramwebsite, Twitter

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
