New Releases

To finish the summer with a bang, Alice Hemming has not one but three books out on September 5th! The first is a brand new fairytale for 10-12's The Midnight Unicorn with its absolutely gorgeous cover below. The other two are part of a new series for 7-9's called Rose Gold and Friends. All published by Scholastic.

Savita Kalhan's newest teen/YA book That Asian Kid, hit our shelves in late August. Published by Troika books it follows the story of Jeevan. Despite his hard work and brains, Jeevan is doing badly in his GCSE English literature class. His teacher, Mrs Greaves, dislikes him intensely and Jeevan is convinced that he is the victim of racial prejudice. Can he stand up for what's right?

"Can you Catch that Cough?" asks Bonnie Bridgman this September as her debut picture book Catch that Cough arrives on our shelves. Published by Tiny Tree books and illustrated by the talented Louise Forshaw this fun and wonderfully illustrated book is sure to be a hit with all picture book lovers.

We're dipping our toes in the sand to celebrate The Tide, written by Clare Helen Welsh and illustrated by Ashling Lindsey, being longlisted for the North Somerset Teacher’s Award! The Tide is published by Little Tiger Press.

Poetry is in the air as Sarah Ziman is placed third in the York Mix Poems for children poems competition 2019 as well as getting commended and shortlisted in another competition! This was her first time entering a poetry competition so we are very impressed!

No comments:

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
