Ally Sherrick's newest book, The Queen's Fool is hitting shelves this month with Chicken House Books.

Nine is an orphan pickpocket determined to escape her life in the Nest of a Thousand Treasures. When she steals a house-shaped ornament from a mysterious woman’s purse, she knocks on its tiny door and watches it grow into a huge, higgledy-piggeldy house. Author Amy Sparkes and illustrator Ben Mantle bring some magic to our pages with The House at The Edge of Magic published by Walker Books.

Coming Soon

Annaliese Avery will be launching onto shelves in less than three months time with her debut book The NightSilver Promise published by Scholastic. In a re-imagined world, the Empire of Albion is ruled by science. Everyone's destiny is pre-determined by a track of stars on their wrist, and 13-year-old Paisley Fitzwilliam discovers that her fate is to die before her fourteenth year. But when her mother goes missing and is presumed dead; there is nobody left to protect her Dragon-Touched brother Dax.

If a Stegosaurus knew how to do sums - well, what would happen? Maybe she'd learn to code, to invent, to fly to the moon! The latest book from author Rashmi Sirdeshpande and illustrator Diane Ewan is published by Puffin this May.

Eleven-year-old Danny Chung loves drawing more than anything - certainly more than maths, which, according to his dad and everyone else, is what he is 'supposed' to be good at. Maisie Chan's latest offering Danny Chung Does Not Do Maths is out this June illustrated by Anh Cao and published by Piccadilly Press.

From Em Lynas and Matt Hunt comes this hilarious, read-aloud picture book from Nosy Crow Books in 2021 The Cat and the Rat and the Hat. Bursting with comic capers and animal antics. With a hilarious, tongue-twister text, slapstick humour, bright neon artwork and colourful, comic characters.

No comments:

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
