BLOG BREAK Bards and Beads

Nick Cross presents his selection of must-read SCBWI-BI member blogs.

Every time I look, Clare Helen Welsh seems to have a new book out. How does she do it? While you ponder that, check out her post about the publication of her 10th picture book, Sunshine At Bedtime.

Sometimes, being an illustrator is not all about book projects. John Shelley has found himself creating a massive cartoon map of his former hometown of Sutton Coldfield to celebrate the area's links to Shakespeare. Find out more in part one and part two of John's blog series.

Catherine Rosevear has a jar full of sparkly glass beads, which sounds very nice until you realise that each one represents a rejection! But Catherine views all of this in a positive light, as she explains in her blog post.

Finally, here's someone who is absolutely living the dream. Tracy Darnton gives us a guided tour of the printing plant where her latest YA novel Ready or Not is literally being made!

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
