CELEBRATIONS February 2023
As the end of winter draws closer and the first buds of spring start to shoot, let's take a look at what our creative members have to celebrate this month.
A big congratulations to Clare Helen Welsh. Her hilarious picture book Wee? It Wasn't Me!, illustrated by Nicola O'Byrne, has been shortlisted for the Laugh Out Loud Book Awards 2023, (The Lollies). Well done and good luck!
Wee? It Wasn't Me! is the second book in this fabulous series.
Congratulations also to Stuart White who released his debut novel Ghosts of Mars on 13th February. We wish this middle grade sci-fi, with a fabulous front cover by Jennifer Jamieson, every success.

Finally, it was wonderful to hear that SCBWI member Sabrina Shah has been offered representation by Regina Bernard Carreno at Ladderbird Literary Agency. Sabrina was a WriteMentor Picture Book mentee 2022, awarded the 12 x12 Picture Book Challenge Scholarship 2022 and won The Golden Egg Award 2022 from The Golden Egg Academy. We can't wait to read your work, Sabrina!
