EVENTS SCBWI British Isles Conference 2023

The SCBWI British Isles Conference returns to Manchester this year for another fun and inspiring weekend featuring a stellar line-up of keynote speakers including Robin Stevens, Ed Vere and Hilary Delamere.

Bookings OPEN from 1 September and CLOSE on 23 October 2023

Apply for Scholarships and Book 1-1s by 30 September 2023

The conference kicks off with our Friday Fringe and welcome social — an opportunity to meet up with friends, check out the programme and settle into the conference.

The rest of the weekend promises practical sessions and workshops catering to all stages of the creative journey, including pre-published, self-published and established writers or illustrators.

One-to-one manuscript and portfolio review sessions with literary agents, editors, art directors and publishers will also be available to book when purchasing your conference ticket.

On Saturday, delegates are invited to pitch to industry professionals Dragon’s Den style.

After soaking up all that knowledge, pitching, and networking with peers and industry experts, it’s time to relax and enjoy a fabulous dinner whilst enjoying the SCBWI British Isles annual Mass Book Launch celebration.

Fancy dress is encouraged but of course, optional. No pressure.

Special thanks to this year’s co-conference chairs, Tracey Guiry and Kate Peridot.

We look forward to seeing you there!

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
