NEWS Thank you, volunteers!

Without ALL of us volunteers working behind the scenes every single week of the year (except about 3 weeks in December when we have a break), Words & Pictures wouldn’t exist, writes Deputy Editor Françoise Price.

So, for those editors and sub-editors who, for one reason and another, have decided to step down this past year, here’s a big – no wait, huge –

THANK YOU

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
