EVENTS An evening with Words & Pictures

Are you interested in volunteering for Words & Pictures magazine but aren't sure what’s involved? Come and find out more!

A gentle reminder that you are invited to join us for an informal chat about what goes on behind the scenes at Words & Pictures HQ:

on: July 10th 2024
at: 6.30pm

Join Zoom Meeting:

https://scbwi.zoom.us/j/99540790395

Meeting ID: 995 4079 0395

Meet members of the team including the Editor, Deputy Editor, Production Editor, Illustration Features Editor and Art Director and find out the ins and outs, the highs and lows of being part of the W&P editorial team.

Whether you have just one hour a week to spare or several, volunteering can be a rewarding experience in so many ways.

Current vacancies include:

  • Production Editor
  • Events Editor
  • Network News Editor
  • Social Media Editor
  • Contributors – this could be for one-off articles or series

If you'd like to find out more about the roles and responsibilities of these vacancies, please contact Gulfem Wormald at editor@britishscbwi.org

Most of us are motivated by being a part of SCBWI and sharing our expertise and knowledge with the community. It doesn't stop there though! You can enjoy benefits such as: discounts on membership and on the conference (where applicable); unique opportunities to network; and simply getting your name, face and work out there.

Who knows where it may lead to – which is what makes volunteering for Words & Pictures magazine that much more exciting and rewarding.

No comments:

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
