FEATURED ILLUSTRATOR 2024 recap



As 2024 has been and gone, it's time to take a look at the year we have had with some absolutely amazing and talented illustrators. I can't wait to see what this year brings!


Emma Latham is an illustrator from rural Cheshire now living in Nottingham who currently has work in a good few published children's books and who graduated with a BA(Hons) in illustration from the University of Derby in 2008.

Gizem Gözde Uçar is a children’s book author and illustrator based in London, from Istanbul, Turkey with a double major in Literature and International Relations at Koc University. She established a workshop called 'Story Workshop.' It is the perfect mixture of interactive storytelling and arts and crafts. She continues to do this in schools and libraries around London.

Marie-Charlotte Yao (Macha) is one of the hosts of Friday Doodle Club on Instagram and has signed with The Plum Agency. Macha is a Leeds-based illustrator and graphic designer, with a masters degree in film editing and cinema SFX.

Yu Kito Lee “Yuey” is an illustrator from Japan based in Los Angeles. She lives with her husband and three kids, and has published illustration projects plus licensed products in stationery, greetings cards, toys and games.

Jasmine Stephenson is an East Yorkshire based illustrator currently studying at university. She learned from her grandad at a young age and continues to create magical and whimsical artwork.

Marianna Ostanik is a Brazilian artist currently residing in Portugal. After years of working as a graphic designer in Brazil, she relocated to Europe in 2018, where she decided to pursue her passion for children's books.

Alina Manolache's love for fairy tales, watercolour painting, and animals is readily apparent in her first book Little Red is Making Friends, which she wrote, illustrated, and self published. In her debut work, the visually stunning illustrations combined with her storytelling evoke undeniable feelings of joy and compassion.
