Congratulations Illustrator John Shelley
Congratulations to SCBWI member John Shelley whose illustrations are in a new non-fiction picture book for Charlesbridge (Penguin/Random House) on Shakespeare and London's original Globe theatre, out on 22nd March.
I'm sure you'll agree the front cover looks amazing.
John did a lot of historical research, referring to both old texts and images, to make sure his illustrations of 17th century London were as accurate as possible, and he based his illustrations of the theatre on the recreation of the Globe which stands in London today.
Will’s Words: How William Shakespeare Changed the Way You Talk
Words by Jane Sutcliffe, illustrated by John Shelley.
ISBN 9781580896382
Published by Charlesbridge
It will be widely distributed in the UK through PGUK.
