ILLUSTRATOR IN ACTION Jane Porter
This week we show Jane Porter making Tiny Penguins finger puppets! Jane is an award-winning picture book author and illustrator. She has her own YouTube channel in which she talks about books and creative things in general.
During lockdown I started a family creative challenge on Zoom – and at the suggestion of Viviane Schwarz, I made it into a video to record the experience. I found out that I loved making videos, and really enjoyed the editing process in particular, so I started a YouTube channel to share what I had made. This led to a series of video interviews with fellow picture book makers about their process – I've been a bit too busy to make any new ones since the summer, but I do have lots more planned. I've also made some about my own process, and others for use in schools. I like taking a peep at the analytics now and then and seeing that people are still watching the videos, and I hope finding them inspiring. If you like watching, do leave me a comment under the video to let me know!

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
