CELEBRATIONS September 2022
New Releases
Rebecca Colby is celebrating the release of her newest early reader, Woolly Bully, illustrated by Tamás Mayer and published by Maverick. Woolly is a bully. He is big, bad, hairy and scary! But when another bully turns up, what will Woolly do?
Patrice Lawrence is lighting up our celebrations with some magic of her own as her middle-grade novel from Scholastic, The Elemental Detectives, is released.

Lucy Farfort is also sharing her good news this month after being a part of the amazing team of creatives included in the newest Faber Book of Bedtime Stories for 5-7 year olds, illustrated by Sarah McIntyre.
Sarah Morrell was excited earlier this year as her debut middle-grade book, A Head Full of Magic, was released with Hashtag Press after capturing their imaginations with her pitch during their 2020 pitching event. (Sarah was a little shy, so we're shouting extra loud for her now!)
Leisa Stewart-Sharpe is excited to announce her first fiction picture book, The Beastly Bunch, with illustrations by Pippa Curnick, has been published by Puffin.

Agents
Have you got a new agent? Don't be shy. Let us know so we can celebrate with you too!
Awards
SCBWI member Barbara Henderson was stunned to win two Young Quills Awards at the ceremony in London, organised by the Historical Association. Barbara won her category in 2021 with The Siege of Caerlaverock, and repeated her success in 2022 with The Chessmen Thief. Her study now looks a whole lot classier!
Have you won or been nominated for an award? Don't be shy, we want to celebrate with you!

No comments:
We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
