ILLUSTRATOR IN ACTION Shannon Ell

This week we can watch our dear Shannon Ell in action. Shannon is a non-binary illustrator, animator and designer based in Edinburgh. They graduated in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art in 2021, and are amazing in drawing cute alpacas!

My alphabet animals episode 1, Alpacas in Love, video was made in February of last year. It was going to be an ongoing series of tutorials to help people have fun drawing cute animals either on paper or on the software of their choice.

I made this using Procreate on iPad Pro 2018 11.5” and filmed with my phone attached to a gimble on my desk, lit with a ring light. The video was edited on Adobe Premier and the font is my own handwriting. The pens on my desk are Posca acrylic markers.

I’d love to be able to do more tutorials in the hopes that more people will have fun illustrating along with me.

We love comments and really appreciate the time it takes to leave one.
Interesting and pithy reactions to a post are brilliant but we also LOVE it when people just say they've read and enjoyed.
We've made it easy to comment by losing the 'are you human?' test, which means we get a lot of spam. Fortunately, Blogger recognises these, so most, if not all, anonymous comments are deleted without reading.
